Job summary

Electus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Project Controls Consultant to support project performance reporting and analysis across multiple client sites in the Bristol and wider Southwest region. The role involves coordinating cost, schedule, risk and change interfaces, forecasting and baseline control, and presenting clear controls information to Project Managers and clients.

Travel to regional client sites is expected weekly, with patterns varying by assignment.

Qualifications

• Practical project controls experience across one or more control areas.
• Understanding of how cost, schedule, risk, change and reporting work together.
• Experience producing or analysing project performance information; able to work with PMs and clients.
• Experience in infrastructure or a closely related project environment.
• Willingness to travel to regional client sites.

Project Controls Consultant

Bristol | Permanent | £40K to £70K

What you could be working on

• Project performance reporting and analysis

• Project health reporting and variance analysis
• Change control and wider contract management
• Supporting Project Managers and clients with clear Project Controls information
• Improving controls processes and reporting approaches
• Working across infrastructure and other complex delivery environments

What we are looking for

• Practical Project Controls experience across 1 or more control areas
• An understanding of how cost, schedule, risk, change and reporting work together
• Experience producing or analysing project performance informationAbility to work with Project Managers, clients and delivery teams
• Experience within infrastructure or a closely related project environment
• Flexibility to work across different client sites within the region
• Relevant backgrounds could include infrastructure, transport, utilities, construction, energy, defence or other complex capital programmes.
• Experience with tools or methods such as Primavera P6, MS Project, EVM, Power BI or NEC environments would be useful where connected to practical Project Controls activity.

Location and working pattern

The roles are available in various locations in the southwest and South Wales, including Bristol and Cardiff. Travel to client site is usually expected weekly. This is within the region and fully expensed. Candidates should be comfortable travelling to regional client sites as required. Exact working patterns can vary depending on the assignment.

Salary

Salary£40K to £70K, depending on experience and level.

Security clearance is not required although existing clearance may be useful for certain client assignments.
