A little more about your role… As a Project Controls Assistant, you will join our Bridges team in one of our London and South East offices. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of significant projects for public and private sector clients. You will support the Project Managers in delivering project and programme management services, and the day-to-day operation of the Bridges division. In doing so you will follow agreed WSP Project Management systems and processes and agreed industry best practice provided by the Association for Project Management (APM). WSP provides professional services on multiple long-term framework commissions and significant projects with a team of highly skilled Project Managers and Directors, we form a market leading force of Project Management excellence to support our clients ensuring efficiency with rigorous attention to detail as a core principal. - Prioritising client satisfaction through building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, whilst forming trusting relationships with colleagues to ensure effective co-ordination for mutually beneficial outcomes
- Coordinating between various project team members ensuring projects are delivered on time and to budget.
- Developing project management plans including, baseline programme, fee estimate, risk analysis, and managing progress meetings, producing weekly/monthly reports, taking minutes and preparing agenda’s.
- Producing project controls reports to meet project, business and client requirements.
- Supporting change control including assessing time and cost impacts.
- Developing, maintaining and implementing risk and opportunity management plans.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…- Experience of working within the services sector in either project controls or project management.
- Experience in management of a range of project controls and management activities, systems (including enterprise resource planning) and processes.
- A good understanding of commercial and financial project management.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A degree qualification and/or higher qualification relevant experience in project controls,
project management or business support management.
