A leading energy company seeks a Project Controls & Reporting Manager to deliver large capital projects across the UK electricity distribution network. This role includes managing project controls processes, leading a team, and ensuring effective governance and reporting. Base Location: Flexible - Reading, Portsmouth, Petersfield, Swindon, Melksham, Oxford, West London, New Forrest, Slough, Andover, Poole, Aldershot or Yeovil. Travel will be required between UK sites.
Salary: £58,100 - £87,100 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role
Large Capital Delivery (LCD) is responsible for delivering a portfolio of large capital projects and programmes across the electricity distribution network in the SEPD and SHEPD licence areas, each valued between £2.5m and £100m. This portfolio includes all asset work programmes and investment projects above £2.5m, as well as major customer connections projects. LCD Project Services acts as a critical enabler to LCD delivery, providing PMO and integration services to ensure effective and consistent governance, control, and reporting across the portfolio.
We are seeking a Project Controls & Reporting Manager to join our LCD Project Services team. In this role, you will lead and develop the team responsible for providing Project Controls capabilities across Reporting, Change Control, Document Management, and Project Coordination. You will play a key part in delivering robust management information and consistent services across SEPD and SHEPD, while supporting the integration of requirements with the Operations business and regional Capex delivery teams.
You will
- Own and maintain the Project Controls processes (including change control), LCD governance regime and templates, to drive standardisation and consistency across the LCD portfolio.
- Be accountable for agreeing and implementing appropriate reporting across all audiences, based on industry best practice, to deliver robust, accurate and timely management information and reporting.
- Collaborate with the other Project Services leads, and wider Distribution stakeholders (inc. contractors), to integrate data and insights into a single source of the truth, to build confidence in LCD performance.
- Lead and develop the Project Controls & Reporting team, supporting professional development and upskilling, to drive a consistent and high-quality service provision across the portfolio.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of LCD Project Services by championing the embedment of industry best practice.
You have
- Proven experience in leading and developing multi-disciplinary PMO and Project Controls teams.
- Extensive experience establishing and implementing an industry best practice toolset for Project Controls, including forecasting and reporting (inc. alignment of papers for relevant board and committees etc.)
- Proven experience in leading adherence to a consistent governance structure, coaching team members and projects teams to ensure consistent application and compliance.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across geographies, and work collaboratively to support integration with parties, including contractor partners.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, to build confidence in LCD performance.
