Project Planner/Controller - INSIDE IR35 - £360 per day - WILLING TO UNDERGO SC CLEARANCE - STEVENAGE, HYBRID - 12 MONTHS - SINGLE STAGE PROCESS

Yolk Recruitment is seeking a Project Planner/Controller for a 12-month contract in Stevenage to work on security cleared projects within the defence industry.

The Project Planner's primary responsibilities include delivering best practice project planning, collaborating with the Business Performance Management and Technical Teams, and managing the Primavera Integrated Plan Network. The role involves promoting and upholding the company's standards for planning and scheduling.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze ongoing progress and performance, compare against targets, and identify variances and their causes.
• Prepare reports and recommend actions to improve project progress.
• Establish and maintain the overall project schedule in line with company standards.
• Support the development of planning skills across the project team, coaching members in best practices.
• Integrate work package plans into a comprehensive network, maintaining the performance measurement baseline.
• Update plans monthly and report schedule data, advising on conflicts and corrective actions.
• Manage Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology as required.
• Conduct critical path analysis in accordance with company standards.
• Build strong relationships with engineers and other stakeholders to embed project control standards and deliver accurate performance data.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Extensive experience with Primavera, SAP PS, and industry-standard computing applications.
• Strong communication skills, capable of working with diverse teams including engineering, finance, and project management.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, pan-European environment.
• Proven experience in commercial and financial management.
• Proactive team player with assertiveness, negotiation, and arbitration skills.
