ALTEN in Bridgwater, England, United Kingdom is seeking an experienced PMO / Project Controls Engineer to support large-scale, safety-critical programmes. You will contribute to planning, cost control, reporting, and governance across complex engineering environments.

You will work with engineering, commercial and delivery teams, maintain cost forecasts, track metrics like SPI and CPI, manage risks and changes, and produce progress dashboards, with opportunities for learning and career

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure or complex engineering programmes.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Experience working with stakeholders across multi-disciplinary teams.

Project Controller/Cost Engineer ALTEN•Bridgwater, England, United Kingdom

We are looking for an experienced PMO / Project Controls Engineer to support large-scale, safety-critical programmes. The role focuses on supporting project delivery through effective planning, cost control, reporting, and governance across complex engineering environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project planning and scheduling activities
• Maintain and track project cost, budget, and financial forecasts
• OPEX
• Produce progress reports and performance dashboard.
• Track key metrics (SPI, CPI, Earned Value)
• Manage risks, issues, and change control processes
• Work closely with engineering, commercial, and delivery teams
• Support project governance and reporting requirements

Required Skills

• Strong background in PMO, Project Controls, Planning, or Cost Engineering
• Proven experience working with tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar
• Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Experience within regulated environments.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure or complex engineering programmes
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Experience working with stakeholders across multi-disciplinary teams
