Job Description

Position Summary & Objective

Responsible for monitoring, controlling, and reporting project costs to ensure they stay on budget. Key roles include maintaining project productivity, accuracy in forecasting, and effective communication with the project team and stakeholders.

Essential Functions

1. Develop and maintain a robust project controlling framework, adhering to guidelines and procedures.
2. Report actual costs versus forecasts, including risks and opportunities.
3. Identify and implement cost-saving measures.
4. Collaborate with project managers to ensure expenditures align with budgets.
5. Provide transparent updates on project performance against budgets.
6. Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances for decision-making.
7. Evaluate and mitigate contract penalties, such as liquidated damages.
8. Prepare and present reports on project progress and financial status.
9. Work with scheduling teams to provide financial updates.
10. Support tracking of project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
11. Prepare financial status reports and recommend corrective actions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience with cost, estimating, scheduling, and earned value management systems (e.g., MS Excel, MS Access, Epicor ERP).
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience mentoring others and understanding of commercial contract terms.
• Knowledge of project risk management in areas like insurance and guarantees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Certifications: CPCP, PMP, PCP.
