Job description

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Project Controller on an initial 6-month contract. As a Project Controller, you will ensure all deliverables are met regarding monthly reporting to Primes and accurate, timely reporting to local Work Package Managers and Project Managers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the financial aspects of satellite production projects.
• Review all financially relevant contractual matters, such as Supply Contracts, Works Orders, or Change Notices.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to prepare financial elements of contract changes.
• Manage cost allocation to work packages and provide variance analysis with inputs from Work Package Managers (WPMs) and Project Managers (PMs).
• Produce monthly financial reports on project KPIs, comparing Actuals against Budget and Forecast.
• Conduct regular cost reviews with WPMs to capture Cost To Complete (CTC), including labour, materials, and equipment costs.
• Ensure timely achievement of financial milestones and adherence to processes.
• Analyze project actual costs and correct mis-bookings.
• Forecast project resourcing and manpower requirements by work package.
• Report on key subcontractor financial milestones.
• Track major project non-quality events for communication to senior management.
• Support overall program financials in collaboration with the Finance team.
• Respond to ad hoc requests and contribute to process improvements.

Essential Skills

• Intermediate/Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-finance colleagues.
• Experience in a project-based environment.
• Highly numerate and computer literate.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in management accounting within a project environment.
• Proficiency in additional European languages (French/German) is advantageous.
• Experience working in a large, multinational environment.
• Experience working with multiple currencies.
