Job summary

Thales Group is seeking a Project Controller in Crawley on a hybrid basis (3 days onsite). You will design, implement and manage project control systems, maintain IMS and baselines, and drive performance analysis across defence, space and digital security programmes.

You will support senior management with clear insights and robust scheduling against complex engineering projects. The role emphasizes change control, governance, and continuous improvement within a PMO context, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, cost control and performance analysis within complex engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Experience developing IMS and PMB baselines.
• Knowledge of EVM and SRA methodologies.

Crawley - Hybrid Working (3 days per week onsite)

We are looking for a Project Controller to join In this role, you will provide project planning, monitoring and control expertise across a range of programmes and projects. You will ensure best-practice project controls are embedded, delivering clear and actionable insights that support project leadership and senior management decision-making. You will also be responsible for maintaining robust Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and Performance Measurement Baselines (PMB).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage project control systems across programmes and projects


• Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and project baselines

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, cost control and performance analysis within complex engineering or manufacturing environments


• Experience developing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Integrated Master Schedules and Performance Measurement Baselines


• Strong understanding of project controls, forecasting, variance analysis and governance processes


• Knowledge of project performance methodologies such as Earned Value Management (EVM) and Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)


• Proficiency with project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Deltek Open Plan or Microsoft Project


• Ability to translate project data into meaningful insights to support decision-making

It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment.
