Job summary

Thales is recruiting a Project Controller in Crawley (hybrid: 3 days on-site). The role focuses on designing and maintaining project control systems, IMS/PMB, and baselines to drive informed leadership decisions. You will monitor performance, risks and trends, and coach project teams in controls practices.

The role requires expertise in WBS, IMS, EVM/SRA, and proficiency with Primavera P6, Deltek Open Plan, or MS Project. SC clearance may be needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, cost control and performance analysis within complex engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Experience developing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Integrated Master Schedules and Performance Measurement Baselines
• Strong understanding of project controls, forecasting, variance analysis and governance processes
• Knowledge of project performance methodologies such as Earned Value Management (EVM) and Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
• Proficiency with project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Deltek Open Plan or Microsoft Project
• Ability to translate project data into meaningful insights to support decision-making

Crawley - Hybrid Working (3 days per week onsite)

We are looking for a Project Controller to join In this role, you will provide project planning, monitoring and control expertise across a range of programmes and projects. You will ensure best-practice project controls are embedded, delivering clear and actionable insights that support project leadership and senior management decision-making. You will also be responsible for maintaining robust Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and Performance Measurement Baselines (PMB).

Security Clearance Requirement:

Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires Security Clearance (SC). It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment.

To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years' residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
