Trial Balance Consulting have been contacted by a long-standing client, a large Cornish services provider who seek to recruit an experienced Project Controller. This is a permanent and full-time position that will play a really important role in the success of the business moving forward.

Based out of the company’s headquarters in Callington, the successful candidate will report in to a Head of Commercial Accounting but will also support an experienced CFO, Financial Controller as well as a wider team with new projects.

Key responsibilities to include:
  1. Setting up and managing the entire project accounting function (with a couple of direct reports).
  2. Leading the preparation of budgets for new projects.
  3. Leading the production of monthly analysis for each project, re-forecasting where appropriate.
  4. Reporting directly in to the board with data and insight for each project.
  5. Proactively identify potential issues to ensure projects stay on budget and are on time.
  6. Other ad-hoc project related duties as required.
Who’s right for the challenge?

We’re looking for a qualified accountant with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role and someone who can manage and develop a team. You will have excellent communication skills and be well versed in all aspects of project accounting. You will be joining a fast-paced environment in what is a really exciting time to be joining the company.
