Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Mechanical & SIP (Outside IR35)
Location: Saltend, East Yorkshire
Contract Type: Ltd Company Contractor (Outside IR35)
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 12 - 24 Months
Rate: Competitive (Ltd Company)

Description:
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading industrial project at Saltend for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in Mechanical and SIP (Structural, Insulation, and Painting) disciplines. This long-term contract offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-profile site-based project, with some flexibility for 1 remote working day per week.

This role has been assessed and determined as outside IR35, suitable for Ltd Company contractors.

Responsibilities:

  1. Preparation and timely submission of Applications for Payment (AFPs)
  2. Estimating and negotiating change orders
  3. Producing and presenting final cost plans
  4. Reconciling changes to maintain accurate cost data
  5. Conducting valuations and detailed cost checking for major works
  6. Assessing change orders and variations in accordance with contract terms
  7. Managing cost impact analysis and contingency tracking
  8. Overseeing all cost control and change management processes
  9. Ensuring accurate and auditable cost validation and reporting
  10. Monitoring weekly site progress and reporting against budgeted man-hours
  11. Evaluating project progress and updating internal systems for cost and progress tracking
  12. Reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  13. Producing monthly P&L, financial reporting and forecasting

Requirements:
  1. Extensive Quantity Surveying experience within Mechanical and SIP project environments
  2. Strong contractual and commercial knowledge
  3. Experience working on large industrial or infrastructure projects
  4. Ability to manage all QS and cost management duties independently
  5. Comfortable working on a site-based role with occasional remote flexibility
