Overview

Our respected client provides independent advice, data analytics, expert testimony, investigations and dispute consulting to FTSE corporations, financial institutions, government agencies, major law firms, and regulatory bodies globally.

Location: London

Their experts provide sophisticated quantum, delay, economic and analytical advice across a wide range of disciplines including a strong capability in the Construction sector.

The Associate position is a junior consulting staff position, open to professionals with a minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying or other related subjects, interested in claims and dispute resolution as a career.

This position requires a highly motivated problem solver with strong analytical ability and a desire to advance within the organisation. The work they undertake is global and wide ranging, from residential, to commercial, to infrastructure and energy projects. You will have the opportunity to work with highly reputable, specialist expert witnesses and true leaders in this market.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining electronic databases and records as dictated by project needs.
  • Assisting in the analysis and assessment of claims and counterclaims such as variations, loss and expense, termination, liquidated damages and disruption.
  • Demonstrating creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools, analytical methods and computer models to develop solutions.
  • Participating in a team environment and working hard to meet client deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Participating in group practice meetings and travel as required.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in the areas of engineering, construction and quantity surveying or another related subject.
  • Proven capability with MS Excel and/or other analytical software. A desire to expand those capabilities as required.
  • Excellent oral and verbal communications skills.
  • Good attention to details, analytical and problem-solving skills.
