This role entails managing the commercial and cost aspects of projects while ensuring compliance with all governance procedures. The ideal candidate will have a degree, necessary certifications, and experience in managing complex projects with the ability to lead a team effectively. Here within the @one Alliance, we are a collaborative organisation made up of our eight partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska, and SWECO) and our extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.
We are gearing up for our most exciting and challenging Asset Management Period yet, known as AMP 8. This will see us deliver a programme of work larger than we’ve ever delivered before. We’re looking to build on our existing teams with an environment for career progression.
To enhance our ability to develop an optimal programme portfolio for delivery, we are looking for a talented Project Commercial Manager.
As we move into this exciting and challenging period for the Water industry, our commercial and cost management processes and practices must remain industry-leading to ensure we not only deliver but outperform against our objectives and customer expectations.
You will be accountable for the commercial and cost management of a project or programme of projects from inception to close out, reporting directly to an Integrated Projects Leader (IPL), ensuring maximum efficiencies and full compliance with all Alliance and Anglian Water governance procedures. You will provide commercial challenge to the IPL and team on all project matters.
To be considered, you should have a degree-level education and hold RICS/CIOB/CICES certification. You will have experience managing complex projects, ideally up to multi-million pounds. Experience with NEC contracts, negotiation, estimating, and stakeholder management will make you stand out. You should act with integrity, champion collaboration, and lead with a strong commercial focus. Ability to work under pressure, support your team empathetically, and build strong relationships is essential.
