Navartis Ltd in Brandesburton, East Riding of Yorkshire, seeks a Project Commercial Manager to provide commercial support on high-value projects, including a £70 million modular build in the North of Scotland, with NEC contracts and robust financial controls.

You will manage project costs, cashflow, applications for payment, and risk across assigned projects, working with operations to ensure value, timely reporting and strong commercial performance.

Qualifications

• 7/10 years’ experience in a commercial role.
• Minimum of 5 years’ commercial experience within construction.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar.
• Strong NEC contract experience (essential).
• Proven experience working on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of commercial reporting, cost management and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end commercial management across allocated projects.
• Manage and monitor project costs, margins and cashflow, ensuring commercial viability is maintained.
• Prepare and review applications for payment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Produce and maintain project cashflow forecasts and financial reports.
• Review contract documentation (NEC) to identify risk, opportunity and compliance requirements.
• Monitor and assess variations, change control and compensation events.
• Support the resolution of final accounts with clients and subcontractors in a timely manner.
• Review project scope against cost plans to identify overspend and margin risk.
• Ensure effective commercial administration and record keeping across projects.
• Work closely with operational teams to ensure alignment on progress, variations and financial position.
• Monitor and challenge project performance, highlighting risks and proposing corrective actions.
• Support the commercial review process (CPR) and ensure accurate reporting within systems (e.g. IFS).
• Assist with subcontractor engagement, valuation and commercial negotiations where required.
• Ensure timely collection of cash and resolution of commercial queries.

One of the UK’s leading offsite construction companies specialising in the design and delivery of purpose-built modular solutions for sites and applications across the UK is looking to hire a Project Commercial Manager to join their team in Brandesburton, East Riding of Yorkshire.

As the Project Commercial Manager you will be responsible for providing commercial support across high-value projects, including a newly won £70 million modular build project in the North of Scotland ensuring strong commercial performance, accurate financial reporting, and effective contract management under NEC forms of contract.

The role will focus on managing the commercial viability of assigned projects, including cost control, applications, cashflow, and risk management, ensuring projects remain financially robust and aligned to contractual requirements.

To be suitable for the Project Commercial Manager Role

• 7 /10 years’ experience in a commercial role
• Minimum of 5 years’ commercial experience within construction
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar
• Strong NEC contract experience (essential)
• Proven experience working on large-scale construction projects
• Strong understanding of commercial reporting, cost management and contract administration
• Knowledge of construction contract law desirable
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Any experience working on modular build projects (desirable)
• Willing to travel to project sites as required with some overnight stays.
• Must have full right to work in the UK without sponsorship
