Exciting Opportunity: Project Civil Engineer – Leeds

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (DOE)

Location: Leeds

Employment Type: Full-Time, Hybrid

The Leeds office is home to a growing team of 8, including apprentices, graduates, and senior engineers, fostering a diverse and supportive environment that promotes learning and leadership.

The Role: Project Civil Engineer

You'll be a vital part of the drainage and infrastructure civils team, managing design, delivery, and mentoring.

The role includes:

  1. Creating schematic, concept, and detailed drainage/highways designs using Civils 3D
  2. Delivering drainage and SUDS designs using Causeway Flow
  3. Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports for planning
  4. Leading collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
  5. Mentoring and managing junior engineers
  6. Acting as Project Leader, including oversight of project finances
What We're Looking For
  • Proficient in Civils 3D (or equivalent), with strong drainage design experience
  • Track record of mentoring and line management
  • Knowledge of Sustainable Drainage Systems (concept and detailed design)
  • Site experience including contractor liaison and health & safety management
  • Experience in multiple sectors (e.g., NHS, DfE, private sector)
  • Comfortable engaging with local authorities and problem-solving within project teams
  • Strong quality assurance and project delivery skills
