Crown Oil Ltd seeks a dedicated and analytical Project Business Analyst to support our Head of IT Development. In this crucial role, you will bridge business needs and IT solutions, ensuring that our technology strategies align with our business goals.

You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement within our processes and systems, providing data-driven insights that will enhance decision-making and optimise operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to think strategically about complex business problems. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, gathering requirements and translating them into actionable IT plans. Your contributions will support our mission to deliver exceptional customer service and drive innovation within the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head of IT Development to understand business needs and align IT solutions accordingly.
• Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders across various departments and business units.
• Analyse existing business processes and identify areas for improvement or automation.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit feedback and gain consensus on project goals.
• Create detailed functional specifications and user stories to guide the development team.
• Support the testing phase by developing test plans and test cases to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Head of IT Development and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a business analyst, project manager, or in a similar role in an IT environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in business process modelling and data analysis tools.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
