Are you a post-graduate Building Surveyor or someone with 5+ years of industry experience as a surveyor? Do you want to work on a wide variety of exciting projects—from refurbishments and renovations to new builds and Listed Buildings—within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment?

We’re looking for motivated Project Building Surveyors to join a growing team within a well-established consultancy of Chartered Surveyors, Architects, Civil and Structural Engineers, and Building Services professionals.

As part of the Building Surveying team, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality support across a range of building projects in sectors including MOD & defence, heritage, local authority, education, and residential housing. You’ll gain exposure to all phases of the project lifecycle and benefit from mentoring and support toward Chartership.

? Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site inspections and condition surveys, reporting on building defects and providing professional advice.
  • Assist in preparing construction drawings, technical specifications, and tender documentation.
  • Support project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Assist with planning applications and ensure compliance with Building Regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with contractors, consultants, and internal teams during project delivery.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with Health & Safety best practices.
  • Maintain organised and accurate documentation for all assigned projects.

? What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Building Surveying.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a relevant building surveying, construction, or consultancy role.
  • Good understanding of refurbishment, new build, and Listed Building works.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel.
  • Working toward or interest in achieving RICS Chartered status.
  • Knowledge of sustainability principles and evolving building regulations.
  • Experience assisting with or managing small project workstreams.

? What’s on Offer:

  • Competitive salary £30,000 – £50,000 depending on level of experience.
  • Performance-related bonus scheme.
  • Funded training and support toward Chartership.
  • Hybrid working and flexible approach to site visits.
  • Genuine progression within a collaborative and respected consultancy environment.

? Apply now and take your next step in professional Building Surveying, with the support, development, and exciting projects to match your ambition.
