Job summary

Norse Care in Norwich is seeking a Project Assistant to help coordinate and plan transformation projects, primarily related to refurbishment and development. You will support cost control, reporting, and ensure health and safety compliance.

The role requires strong project coordination, effective stakeholder liaison, and excellent written and verbal communication. A driving licence and experience with procurement and suppliers are desirable.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable project management skills and experience.
  • Experience in procurement activities and liaising with suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and numeracy skills.
  • Working knowledge of building safety requirements, statutory compliance and facilities management practices.
  • Competent in using D365 and Access would be desirable.
  • Experience in the care sector is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting in the development and delivery of the transition programme in relation to new and increased private residential and enhanced care provision.
  • Assisting the facilities manager in the planning, coordination and successful delivery of ongoing maintenance projects. Including the programming and management of on-site works.
  • Liaising with contractors, surveyors and other professionals to ensure all aspects of projects are appropriately coordinated, monitored and delivered to required standards and timescales.
  • Coordinate with internal company services such as, Marketing and Interior Design to support the planning and delivery of projects.
  • Identify procurement gaps or shortfalls and initiate the necessary steps to ensure project requirements are met.

Project Assistant – Norse Care

Norwich

£30,765.87 – £35,314.02 (Dependant on experience)

37 Hours per week.

Come and work for Norse Care. Our team are based at our brand-new Head Office, located next to the airport. We have fantastic on-site facilities, featuring collaborative spaces, outside areas and a café.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Assistant to join the team. You will be responsible for coordinating and planning various elements of transformation projects primarily relating to, but not solely exclusive to, refurbishment and development. This will include maintaining effective project cost control and reporting, ensuring adherence to best practices, quality standards and health and safety compliance within all aspects of the role.

The Project Assistant will have experience in coordinating projects, and supporting successful delivery of project objectives, ensuring timescales, budgets and quality standards are achieved.

In line with Norse Care requirements the Project Assistant will be required to work collaboratively with key stakeholders, building effective working relationships and demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

About you:
  • Full UK Driving Licence (travel within Norfolk is an essential requirement)
  • Demonstrable project management skills and experience.
  • Previous experience of procurement activities and the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Excellent communication and numeracy skills.
  • Working knowledge of building safety requirements, statutory compliance and facilities management practises.
  • Competent in using D365 and Access software would be desirable.
  • Experience in the care sector is desirable but not essential.
