Job summary

SP Energy Networks in Edinburgh is seeking a Project Assistant to support project managers and project development teams, assisting with financial administration and onboarding for key systems. You will become a recognized super user of SAP/financial systems, raise requisitions, update forecasts, and prepare weekly/monthly reports.

Excellent IT and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience of financial management systems (SAP).
  • Experience in a financial role for major construction or utility projects.
  • High IT literacy and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Raise purchase requisitions and calls off framework contracts.
  • Lead financial training for project staff as required.
  • Maintain department User Guides.
  • Update financial forecasts, complete accruals and receipting invoices.
  • Raising and populating sourcing requests for Shared Services/Networks tenders.
  • Generate weekly/monthly financial reports.
  • Be the business expert for financial systems and delegated purchasing.
  • Support on-boarding IT setup and SAP overview sessions.
