Job summary

Helen Lucas Architects Ltd in Edinburgh seeks a Qualified ARB registered Architect with a minimum of 3 years’ experience to join our team for a maternity cover. The candidate should be proactive, dedicated and enthusiastic about a wide range of projects across rural and urban contexts throughout Scotland and beyond.

The role emphasises collaboration with clients, listed buildings conservation experience, and the ability to work through all design stages in a friendly, supportive studio.

Qualifications

• ARB registered Architect with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
• Experience with listed buildings and conservation areas is beneficial.
• Proactive, dedicated and able to fit into a friendly Edinburgh studio.
• Eligible to work in the UK; No Agency applications will be accepted.

Project Architect with 3+ years’ Experience - Maternity Cover

Helen Lucas Architects are looking for a Qualified ARB registered Architect with a minimum of 3 years’ experience to join our team.

We are interested to hear from proactive and motivated individuals who will fit into our friendly studio in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will be passionate, dedicated and hardworking and have an interest in a wide range of projects.

Our work takes us across multiple contexts, both rural and urban, throughout Scotland and beyond, and frequently engages with repurposing listed and historically sensitive buildings, and an enthusiasm for this is crucial. We work closely with our clients, so excellent communication skills are essential. Experience of working with listed buildings, conservation areas and private domestic clients, through all design stages would be beneficial.

We operate a collaborative and supportive studio with staff wellbeing at its core.

Proficiency in Vectorworks and Adobe Suite would be advantageous along with hand drawing abilities. Driving license is preferable.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. No Agency applications will be accepted.
