As a Project Architect at HDR, you will work on projects across various sectors, focusing on Data Centre and Mission Critical projects. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams, clients, and contractors, primarily within the United Kingdom and European regions.

In the role of Project Architect for Data Centres/Mission Critical, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Applying technical design concepts, management skills, and digital technologies effectively.
  2. Performing layout and detailing for architectural projects.
  3. Leading owner/client meetings and participating in reviews with regulatory agencies for code compliance.
  4. Managing design activities and producing design documentation.
  5. Conducting work sessions at project sites with the Project Manager and other disciplines.
  6. Reviewing architectural documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
  7. Performing QA/QC and technical reviews.
  8. Writing and editing architectural specifications.
  9. Coordinating with disciplines on addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders.
  10. Incorporating approved changes into project documents.
  11. Providing construction contract administration as needed.
  12. Performing additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related field.
  • Registered Architect (ARB registered).
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and related tools.
  • Experience in preparing architectural contract documents and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrated graphic presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of building regulations and contracts.
  • Commitment to our employee-owned culture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Architecture.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Data Centre/Mission Critical projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team facilitation abilities.
  • Efficient workload management skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max, Rhino, and Grasshopper (preferred but not required).

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in architecture.
  • Active registration as an Architect.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
