Job summary

Architecture Social in London is seeking a Project Architect to lead the delivery of commercial office and retrofit projects, taking ownership from design development through construction. You will coordinate consultants, manage client meetings and drive projects through multiple RIBA stages with technical excellence.

The role requires an ARB-registered Architect with UK practice experience, strong leadership and client-facing skills, and proficiency in ArchiCAD and/or Revit.

Project Architect | Commercial Office & Retrofit Projects

A design-led architectural practice is looking to appoint a Project Architect to join its growing team. Working across a range of commercial office and retrofit projects, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects, lead coordination across design teams and play a key role in delivering high-quality schemes across London. This position would suit an Architect with proven project-running experience who is looking for greater responsibility and the opportunity to lead projects through a range of RIBA stages. You'll work closely with clients, consultants and senior team members, helping to deliver technically strong and commercially successful projects while continuing to develop your leadership and client-facing skills.

The Role

You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of commercial office and retrofit projects, overseeing project coordination, design development and technical delivery. Working within a collaborative studio environment, you’ll manage consultant teams, contribute to client meetings and help ensure projects are delivered on programme and to a high standard.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move beyond a supporting role and take ownership of projects within a respected and growing practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of commercial office and retrofit projects across multiple RIBA stages.
• Manage project coordination with consultants, contractors and wider design teams.
• Oversee the production of planning, technical and construction information.
• Develop and review detailed design proposals and technical packages.
• Act as a key contact for clients and project stakeholders.
• Lead project meetings, presentations and design workshops.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to project strategy, programme management and successful project delivery.

Requirements

• ARB-registered Architect.
• Experience leading projects within a UK architectural practice.
• Commercial office, retrofit, education or similarly complex project experience.
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD and/or Revit preferred.
• Strong technical and design capabilities.
• Excellent communication, coordination and organisational skills.
• Confident client-facing abilities.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery.
