Job summary

AM Global in Northallerton/North Yorkshire or Otley, West Yorkshire, is seeking a Chartered Architect to join a busy team on a permanent full-time basis with flexible benefits.

The role sits within a multi-disciplinary environment delivering housing, education, public buildings and public realm projects across the north of England. You will lead design coordination, feasibility and construction information, while ensuring quality and sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Hold RIBA Part I, II & III qualifications plus ARB registration.
  • At least 2 years post Part III architectural experience in a UK company.
  • Experience across all RIBA Plan of Work Stages on UK projects.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD and Photoshop; good IT and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a member of the architectural team within a multi-disciplinary organisation.
  • Act as a Lead Consultant liaising with the client and coordinating the design team.
  • Produce Feasibility, Planning, Building Regulation & Construction information.
  • Produce schedules of work and specifications using NBS software.
  • General understanding of JCT (Traditional / D&B) and NEC contracts.
  • Visit sites to attend meetings, carry out inspections and surveys when required.
  • Carry out designer duties to meet current CDM regulation requirements.
  • Act as Principal Designer for Building Regulations in accordance with the Building Safety Act.
  • Promote sustainability initiatives to help clients meet their carbon reduction policies.
  • Attend client and contractor meetings as and when required.
  • Complete work to defined business processes, standards and time frames.

Job description

Our client are seeking to recruit a Chartered Architect for their busy team across the north of England. Role to be based in Northallerton, North Yorkshire or Otley, West Yorkshire. You will be employed on a permanent full-time contract with flexible benefits.

Salary dependant on experience and qualifications.

You will be joining an Architectural team that work within the company's multi-discipline workforce including Building Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Highways, Civil & Structural and M&E Engineers. Duties and Responsibilities

Experience and Knowledge
  • Experience across all RIBA Plan of Work Stages on UK projects
  • Works under minimal supervision and completes some tasks using own judgement, but overall supervision is required, work is reviewed for adequacy on completion.
  • Experience of working closely with other disciplines to produce coordinated deliverables.
  • Good IT & Presentation skills - Revit, AutoCad, Photoshop.
  • A keen eye for detail and a careful and accurate approach.
Essential Skills / Qualifications
  • Hold RIBA Part I, II & III qualifications plus ARB registration.
  • Has a minimum 2 years post Part III architectural experience in a UK company
