The Student Services Directorate delivers high-quality, student-focused support that enables our students to achieve their full potential. We place students at the heart of what we do, support their wellbeing, and ensure they have timely access to a range of professional services.

Student Services provides support to students via the following services:

  • Chaplaincy
  • Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing
  • Inclusion and Disability
  • Peer-to-Peer support
  • Learner Development/Study Skills
  • Sport
  • Student Engagement
  • Student Welfare and pastoral support

We are recruiting for a Project and Planning Manager to take responsibility for managing projects across Student Services.

There are two one-year fixed term posts available.

About the role

The Project and Planning Manager will provide project management support to the Student Services Leadership team, which will include:

  • managing projects within Student Services, ensuring timescales are adhered to, project objectives are met, and stakeholders are kept informed of progress.
  • project support for improvement projects, working groups and new initiatives across Student Services.
  • co-ordination of the application process for external accreditation e.g. the University Mental Health Charter Award.
  • delivering communications and events to support new initiatives.
Ideal candidate

We are looking for someone who has experience of working successfully on projects involving a wide range of stakeholders, and who can develop effective relationships and networks with colleagues at all levels. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent planning and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
