A Local Authority in London is seeking a Temporary Accommodation Project Administrator to support its Housing Strategy team. The role involves providing comprehensive administrative support and ensuring smooth delivery of temporary accommodation services. Strong administrative skills and experience in housing or public service are essential. This is a temporary position with potential for extension.
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Lewisham to assist with the appointment of a Project Administrator - Tempoary Accommodation, on a 12-months contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £17.23 - £21.94 per hour
Summary:
Lewisham Council is seeking an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Temporary Accommodation Project Administrator to support its Housing Strategy team. The successful candidate will play a key administrative role in the delivery and monitoring of temporary accommodation services, helping ensure the Council meets its obligations to support homeless households.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and a passion for public service, particularly within housing and homelessness prevention.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Temporary Accommodation Project team.
Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of placements, service users, and accommodation providers.
Monitor emails, respond to general enquiries, and escalate queries as required.
Support data entry, reporting, and the preparation of performance and project monitoring documents.
Liaise with internal teams, landlords, accommodation providers, and external partners to ensure smooth delivery of services.
Qualifications:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:
Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a local authority or housing environment essential
Experience working with vulnerable individuals or in housing services desirable
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience managing data, producing reports, and using housing or case management systems (e.g., Northgate, Jigsaw) -desirable
