Location: Cambridge (CB10)  •  Job Type: Fixed-Term Contract  •  Duration: 6 months  •  Hours: 9.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, 9.00am - 5.00pm Friday  •  Salary: £25-27k DoE  •  Job Reference: 35826

Position

Are you an organised, proactive administrator with a passion for supporting fast-paced project teams? We are looking for a Project Administrator to join our growing client in South Cambridgeshire, on a 6-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you\'ll play a key part in coordinating project activities and providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth delivery of multiple projects. You\'ll work closely with Project Managers, fellow Administrators and team members across the business.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting Project Managers with: project start-up, close down and archiving
  • Onboarding new project team members
  • Cost tracking, forecasting, reporting and general admin
  • Supporting Project Teams with: meeting coordination and minute-taking
  • Travel booking and logistics
  • Document formatting, control and filing
  • Procurement support and materials tracking
  • Data entry and change control documentation
Requirements
  • A good academic background (A-levels or equivalent)
  • Strong administrative experience and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and multitask
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint
  • Comfortable handling financial admin (e.g. purchase orders, invoices)
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to take initiative
  • Team player who works well with others and supports collaboration
Desirable
  • Experience in a consultancy or services environment
  • Prior involvement in project administration
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems
  • Experience booking and coordinating travel
  • Ability to manage document flows and conflicting priorities
  • Experience with tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet
  • Understanding of budgeting, costing and project plans
