Job description

SCOPE OF THE ROLE

The Document Controller/Project Coordinator is responsible for managing all project-related documentation, ensuring that all information is accurately recorded, maintained, and readily accessible. This role is crucial for facilitating communication among project teams and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with organisational, security, and regulatory standards, including all work such as installation and fabrication drawings on major building projects.

You will be working on significant construction projects in the UK and worldwide, developing your expertise by being part of a skilled, talented, and multi-disciplinary team.

The role would suit someone who is a quick learner, detail-oriented, has good communication skills, and a positive attitude.

Key Functions

This role will require the individual to:

  • Control company and project documentation
  • Follow and improve document control procedures
  • Support project administration
  • Coordinate projects with Project Managers
  • Ensure all documentation meets formal requirements and standards
  • Sort, store, and retrieve electronic and hard copy documents for clients and industry professionals, including contracts, drawings, specifications, reports, and communications
  • Produce reports for senior managers
  • Support budget management
  • Organise and distribute documents using computers within the company
  • Assist in project planning stages
  • Share documents at key times to facilitate timely project completion
  • Manage version control of all project documents, ensuring the latest versions are used and historical versions archived appropriately
  • Assist in preparing project reports, presentations, and meeting documentation
