A well-established manufacturing business in Worksop is seeking a Project Accountant to oversee revenue and cost management associated with projects. The role requires effective stakeholder communication and a keen attention to detail. Candidates should have experience in project accounting and financial analysis to manage project performance throughout its lifecycle.
Sharp Consultancy are excited to be working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Worksop who are looking to recruit a Project Accountant.
The role reports into the Finance Director, and will be responsible for producing, analysing and controlling all aspects of revenue and costs associated with project accounting alongside taking further responsibility in reviewing project performance against budget and to monitor the performance of a variety of projects throughout their life cycle.
This individual will act as a business partner and forge relationships with all stakeholders, including meeting with stakeholders regularly and be able to communicate effectively and efficiently.
Attention to detail is key as any anomalies throughout the project’s life need to be picked up, reported, and accounted for.
This opportunity would suit an individual who is commercially focussed and looking to take control of a portfolio of projects whilst taking responsibility for the processes and has the confidence/skills to challenge where necessary.

Main responsibilities:
Preparation of sales and cost of sales entries for monthly management accounts
Accountable for ensuring projects are financially completed on time
Produce variance analysis and commentary on sales and advise on how budgets should be adjusted
Assist with preparation of annual budget
Preparation of ad hoc financial and management information
Preparation of report on performance against key performance indicators for sales, margins and debtors on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
Meet with budget holders to discuss their results and advise on how they can influence their numbers
Responsible for invoices being issued on time and accurately
Undertake ad-hoc finance tasks during the month end or year end process
