Job Title: Project Accountant

Location: Plymouth, Devon or Stoke Gifford, Bristol + Hybrid Working Arrangements

Role Type: Full time / Permanent

We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our team at our Devonport Royal Dockyard or Babcock Technology Centre site. As a Project Accountant, you will be at the heart of financial performance across our nuclear business, working closely with Project Managers and senior leaders to provide accurate and timely financial information.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing and analysing monthly accounts in line with reporting timetables
  • Maintaining data integrity and audit trails for internal and external audits
  • Creating monthly and quarterly GFE status packs for management review
  • Raising customer invoices accurately and on time, aligned with contract terms
  • Providing supporting documentation for invoicing, including VOWDs and audit evidence

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Essential experience of delivering financial reporting and analysis in a project-based environment
  • Strong Excel skills for financial modelling and reporting
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the business
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organisational skills
  • Maintenance of high standards and attention to detail

In addition, you will need to be fully qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA (part-qualified candidates may also be considered) with a strong working knowledge of Excel and excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
