Project Accountant
Location: Berkshire (Hybrid – minimum two days on-site)
Rate: £300 - £350 per day umbrella

About the Client:
A respected organisation in the Education sector is seeking a qualified finance professional to join their team on a short-term contract. With a supportive environment and a strong focus on professional development, they cultivate a dynamic work environment where work-life balance and employee well-being are priorities.

About the Job:
This temporary assignment (July to September 2025) is ideal for an experienced Project Accountant who can support the transition from spreadsheet-based systems to dedicated finance software, as well as enhance accounting processes through automation.

Duties will include:

  • Reviewing and updating the fixed asset register

  • Migrating fixed asset data into the finance system (iFinance)

  • Validating asset valuations in accordance with the Capital Goods Scheme

  • Establishing a Charitable Trust entity within the finance system

  • Creating and updating finance procedure documentation

  • Automating processes such as purchase approvals and invoicing

  • Supporting year-end reconciliations

About the Successful Applicant:
You will be a qualified accountant with hands-on experience using iFinance and setting up entities within accounting systems. A strong grasp of the Capital Goods Scheme and process documentation is essential, while knowledge of FRS102, VAT, and prior experience in an educational setting are advantageous.
