About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Accountant to support the financial and operational management of our projects. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate project setup, financial tracking, and coordination between finance and project teams. This role is suitable for someone who enjoys working with numbers and people, and takes pride in keeping projects running smoothly to enable informed decision-making.

What The Role Includes

  • Set up new projects in the ERP system, ensuring all financial structures, coding, and budgets are correct.
  • Maintain and update project records to reflect contract changes, extensions, or scope adjustments.
  • Track key project milestones and support regular reviews of project financials.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports on project financials, including cost tracking, budget utilization, and revenue forecasting.
  • Support the project lifecycle by keeping systems and documentation up to date.
  • Assist with project invoicing, timesheet tracking, and month-end processes.
  • Identify missing data and coordinate with relevant parties to resolve issues promptly.
  • Contribute to improvements in financial and operational processes related to project delivery.
  • Support the wider finance team with various tasks.

Essential

  • Experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably with exposure to project environments.
  • Strong Excel and data management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with finance, operations, and delivery teams.
  • Experience working with stakeholders with differing priorities.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Working towards AAT qualification is preferred.

Desirable

  • Experience in the professional services industry and/or a multidisciplinary consultancy.
