Key Responsibilities
Project Finance Management
  • Partner with project managers to oversee budgets, forecasts, and profitability from initiation to completion.
  • Process and track changes to project financials, including scope adjustments, fee variations, and resource allocations, ensuring updates are accurately reflected in systems and reports.
  • Reconcile project amendments to maintain alignment between contracts, schedules, and accounting records.
  • Prepare and analyse forecast vs. actual reports, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide clear reporting on revenue recognition, utilisation, and margin performance.
  • Manage invoicing and WIP processes, ensuring revenue aligns with project progress and contractual milestones.
  • Monitor supplier and subcontractor costs, ensuring timely approvals and billing.
  • Support compliance with timesheet accuracy and project-related data integrity.
Financial and Management Accounting
  • Produce profitability reports at project and departmental levels for internal review.
  • Assist with credit control and cashflow forecasting through accurate monitoring of billings and receipts.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of project accounting procedures, including fee change tracking and project closeout reconciliations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and workflows to enhance efficiency and data consistency.

  • Proven experience in project accounting within professional services or project-based industries.
  • Strong understanding of project costing, WIP, and margin analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modelling).
