With a strong emphasis on system improvements, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking full ownership of multiple finance projects while still being involved in the quarterly consolidation of Management Accounts across our four group companies.

We are looking for a forward-thinking, confident accountant with attention to detail. You will be responsible for overseeing Finance Projects, production of Subsidiary MI Packs, assisting with the budget and forecast, responsible for the firm's financial reporting, and assisting with year-end accounts.

The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing and finalising management accounts, producing financial accounts, and partnering with other areas of the business.

The important work you will be doing:

1. Work with the Financial Controller on strategic initiatives, ensuring milestones are achieved
2. Enhance financial processes, reporting, and systems to support organisational efficiency
3. Quarterly consolidation of Management Accounts across the Group
4. Assist in preparation of Subsidiaries MI Pack
5. Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
6. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
7. Analysing profitability and recovery
8. Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants
9. Involvement in managing the firm's budgeting and reforecast processes
10. Assisting with statutory reporting including production of the financial statements.

The skills and experience you will bring:

1. Be a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE
2. Have an excellent working knowledge of Excel and a good working knowledge of Sage 200
3. Be methodical, analytical, and have good attention to detail
4. Be a team player who has a strong work ethic, along with a willingness to learn and seek guidance as appropriate
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
6. An inquisitive mind and is good at gathering evidence and solving problems
