Responsibilities

  • Monitor project financials, producing monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Ensure contractual and reporting requirements are met.
  • Prepare project budgets and cash flow projections.
  • Provide actual vs. budget reporting and commentary.
  • Ensure timely invoicing and payment allocation.
  • Support project managers with financial administration.
  • Lead financial processes, budgeting, and resourcing.

About The Role:

The Crowd are partnered with a large, top tier architecture practice that are looking for an experienced Project Accountant to join their London studio to support financial management and project reporting.

This role will be responsible for overseeing the finances of newly won large-scale projects, ensuring accurate reporting and effective budget control. It is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of financial reporting and compliance for high-profile UK projects, with the chance to work closely with senior leadership in a collaborative environment where your insights will directly influence business decisions. The ideal candidate will have experience in a senior finance position within the built environment and a proven track record of managing project financials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor project financials, producing monthly and quarterly reports on large-scale architectural projects
  • Ensure contractual and reporting requirements are met
  • Prepare project budgets and cash flow projections

  • Lead financial processes, budgeting, and resourcing with accuracy
Key Skills/Requirements:
  • Previous project accounting experience within architecture, engineering, or construction
  • Understanding of project contracts
  • Experience with CMap or similar project management tools
  • Knowledge of RIBA work stages is highly advantageous
  • Collaborative approach with a solutions-oriented outlook
  • Able to clearly and concisely communicate financial information to non‑financial stakeholders
  • Strong numerical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant financial qualifications (CIMA/ACCA) are highly beneficial; however, QBE will be considered
