LUC is seeking a finance professional in Bristol to oversee project finances and provide insights to improve margins. The role reports to the Finance Manager and offers hands-on experience with project accounting and governance.
The successful candidate will support project teams, participate in regular reviews, and contribute to the company’s performance across renewable energy and related projects. Hybrid working is available with some travel.
LUC’s finance team is collaborative, supportive and focused on continuous improvement. The team is based across our London, Bristol, Sheffield and Glasgow offices and supports the whole of LUC.
This role is ideal for someone in their early career pursuing an accountancy qualification, with study support provided. You will report to the Finance Manager and gain hands‑on experience.
Partnering directly with Project Managers and Directors, you will oversee project finances and lead regular reviews to ensure strong financial performance. We’re looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, constructively challenging stakeholders, and supporting the delivery of successful environmental projects.

The role is based in LUC’s office in Bristol. We work in a hybrid model with people being in the office a minimum of two days per week. There will also be travel required to visit sites, client offices and other office locations.
A full‑time role is based on 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday). However, LUC has a strong track record in flexible working, and we have been recognised for our flexible working culture, so we are happy to discuss a range of flexible working options for this role including part time hours (minimum 30 hours per week) if desired.
The successful candidate will be organised and efficient with good communication skills. You will be keen to utilise these skills, your knowledge and experience “to deliver better places for nature, people and places”. This role is likely to have a strong focus on renewable energy projects, including wind farms, solar farm, mixed use technologies, and overhead lines, so an interest in this area would be beneficial.
