Job Title: Progression Coach
Reports to: Team Leader
Salary: Scale 6, Points 26-28, £26,229 - £27,982 per annum, pro rata
Hours of work: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

Housing Services:
In support of housing functions, you may be required to assist in:
- Carrying out property inspections, raising repairs and undertaking cleaning duties as required.
- Carrying out non-specialist health and safety testing such as, but not limited to, weekly fire alarm tests, fire drills and monthly emergency lighting tests as required.
- Supporting the letting of void properties; assessing the suitability of referrals, arranging, and delivering property viewings, and arranging sign ups and inductions.
- Providing access for contractors, St Basil’s staff and other third parties in accordance with the requirements of tenancy and licence agreements.
- Supporting young people to set up accounts with utilities providers and councils and helping them to understand their payment responsibilities.
- Supporting the recharge process where damage has been caused by a young person
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- NVQ level 3 in health & social care, advice and guidance, or other relevant / equivalent qualification (or prepared to work towards)
Desirable:
- NVQ level 4 or above in care, advice and guidance or other relevant / equivalent qualification (i.e. Youth or Social Work) or working towards this
ROLE EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- Working with young people in the following settings/Types of work – Youth Work, Residential or Social Work, Probation, Community Work, Education and Training, Housing.
- Experience of working with and delivering a service through payments by outcomes PBO or PBR
- Experience of working with young people with multiple complex needs.
- Experience of Safeguarding vulnerable children, young people, or adults.
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a Psychologically Informed environment.
- Experience of working with people with Dual Diagnosis.
- Working with volunteers/students
KNOWLEDGE
Essential:
- Up to date Knowledge of current welfare rights & relevant legislation.
- Up to date knowledge of housing legislation.
- Up to date Knowledge of the children, adults, and associated care acts
Desirable:
- Up to date Knowledge of Ofsted supported accommodation requirements.
- Up to date Knowledge of Housing Benefit UC rent Systems.
- Up to date Knowledge of mental health, domestic abuse, drug and alcohol and homelessness legislation.
