The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9AM to 5PM. This is a temporary position for approximately 3 months.
Responsibilities:
- Hold a caseload of up to 14 key clients and conduct regular key working sessions resulting in agreed SMART Support Plans which are reviewed regularly.
- Complete comprehensive risk and needs assessments.
- Support clients to participate in Education, Training, Employment, and Volunteering opportunities to develop their skills, assets, and aspirations.
- Deliver one-to-one and group support within the accommodation and the local community to increase resilience.
- Engage flexibly, reflectively, and creatively with clients, personalizing support.
- Support clients with move-on and help them progress towards independence.
- Involve clients in decision-making and encourage participation in the organisation's wider community activities.
- Prepare accommodation for new clients and support their settling-in process.
- Send daily occupancy lists to the council.
- Perform cleaning and domestic duties within the accommodation.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients, following Safeguarding and emergency procedures.
- Manage health and safety responsibilities of the building, including regular checks.
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness and understanding related needs such as mental health and substance misuse.
- Experience managing a caseload, conducting support plans, risk assessments, and needs assessments.
- Effective collaborative working skills.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and Safeguarding procedures.
- Understanding of professional boundaries.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and databases, with good literacy and numeracy skills.
