Job Title:Progress Mentor

Location:Southway, Guildford, Surrey

Start Date:ASAP

Contract Type:Part-time, 30 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum

Salary:LPT 4, £18,707- £20,033 per annum (Actual)

£25,867- £27,701 (FTE)

About the Role:
  1. Supports the teacher with their responsibility for the development and education of children in schools
  2. Provide 1-to-1 and small group academic interventions, both independently and in collaboration with teachers, to support student progress.
  3. Assist with students' personal needs (including hygiene and first aid) and contribute to their social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  4. Encourage inclusive learning by supporting all pupils' access to activities and promoting interaction and independence.
  5. Help implement educational programs, maintain classroom resources, and accompany students on trips and activities.
About you:
  1. Holds GCSEs in English and Maths with good literacy and numeracy skills.
  2. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain instructions and engage positively with pupils and colleagues.
  3. Committed to promoting the welfare and inclusion of all students, understanding and responding to individual needs while fostering equality and diversity.
  4. Works well as part of a team, understands their role within the classroom setting, and can follow instructions while also working independently when needed.
