Purpose of the role

We're looking for a programmes manager to oversee and deliver campaign activity that will be impactful for our community of ambitious founders who want to start and grow their own businesses.

In this role, you'll work in our dynamic programmes team to deliver some of our most significant and valuable programmes, and with the wider team to meet our internal and partner KPIs.

As a programme manager, you may have some line management responsibilities and need to support the wider programmes team with best practice training and development. You'll report to Diane Mensah, head of programme delivery.

This role is, above all, a project manager with an understanding of marketing. We want to meet enthusiastic candidates with fresh ideas, attention to detail and the organisational skills needed to manage client relationships and deliver programme activity on time.

1. Decision making

Make time-sensitive, evidence-based project decisions

Integrate all stakeholders' business goals into the project scope and deliverables

Demonstrate critical thinking for ad hoc issues

Apply ongoing analysis to the complete project

Develop metrics to track progress towards goals

2. Execution

Drive the development of projects' scope and manage deliverables on an ongoing basis

Develop and manage project timelines, resources and budgets

Understand and demonstrate organisational best practice, using relevant project management tools

Incorporate time management principles into project workflows

3. Communication

Convey information to stakeholders inside and outside the business in both written and verbal formats

Build positive relationships within and outside the team

Demonstrate negotiation skills to manage project governance

Prepare and present meaningful insights from data reporting

Take initiative and ownership of situations to effect change

Demonstrate critical thinking when challenged

Mentor direct line reports to improve performance and support progression

Work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments

Main responsibilities

As a programmes manager, you will:

Be a single point of contact for programme delivery for allprogramme operations, providing guidance to cross-functional teams (content managers, product managers, developers, QAs and senior stakeholders)and keeping team members focused on delivering against KPIs

Create a programme content strategy relevant to the campaign objectives, producing planning schedules and timelines for delivering programme activity

Liaise with the marketing team to produce growth and marketing plans for programmes

Own the overall end-to-end project management and delivery of specific programmes in partnership with platform partners, including logistics and administrative duties

Lead meetings and build trusted partner relationships throughout the planning and delivery process, as well as support new opportunities

Report internally and externally to partners on deliverables, via calls and reporting documents, throughout the duration of the programme as well as upon completion

Build strong working relationships within the programmes team as well as across the marketing and engineering teams, making sure all members of the project team know what's expected of them

Make sure programmes are delivered to agreed contracts by meeting reach and engagement targets for your programmes and achieving high-quality standards. This includes mitigating against risks and tracking issues, escalating roadblocks to the head of programme delivery before they become critical

Travel on occasion within the UK or internationally where needed

About you

You are:

An experienced project or programmes manager, with a background in overseeing a portfolio of projects

Computer savvy, proficient in MS Office or equivalent. Any experience in CRM systems, online event platforms or Eventbrite is an advantage

Able to think creatively to solve partners' problems and meet targets

Focused, with great attention to detail

A team player with leadership skills

You have:

Experience with project management tools and software

Experience working on digital projects

Experience with training and supervision

Experience with line management

An energy and enthusiasm that you bring to every task
