Job description

We are looking for:

  • Programme Tutor of Esports
  • Qualified Teacher: £32,304 to £40,050

The Role:

The job involves delivering teaching, learning, and assessment within Sport and Academies, specifically in Esports. We have partnerships with the British Esports Federation, Manchester City in the Community, Manchester City Esports, and Williams F1, aiming to be a market leader in this field. These partnerships offer unique experiences from international placements to recreational and professional competitions. We seek an individual capable of leading and inspiring the next generation of Esports talent through planning and delivering the level 1, 2, and 3 Esports curriculum.

The primary responsibility is leading and expanding a new college provision, supporting the development of HNC, HND, and Degree Top-Up options to ensure market leadership. Additionally, you will provide pastoral care to at least two cohorts of learners, building strong relationships with learners and parents to promote excellent attendance and outcomes.

Oldham College is a medium-sized general further education college with a nearly £25m turnover. It has a main campus undergoing continuous redevelopment, with over £40m spent since 2012 to provide innovative learning environments. Higher education is offered on a separate campus.
