A leading climate tech product manufacturer in Banbury is seeking a passionate Programme Quality Engineer for a 6-month contract. The candidate will act as the quality lead for automotive programmes, ensuring compliance and executing Programme Quality Plans. Responsibilities include risk identification, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring quality readiness at key milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality or a related field.
• 3+ years experience in quality engineering or programme quality roles.
• Proven experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA.

Responsibilities

• Act as the quality lead for automotive programmes, ensuring compliance.

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a climate tech product manufacturer, based in Banbury, who are seeking a Programme Quality Engineer to join their team

Job Description

As Programme Quality Engineer, your main responsibilities are:

• Act as the quality lead for automotive programmes, ensuring compliance
• Develop and execute Programme Quality Plans, aligned with APQP and PPAP requirements
• Work independently, to identify risks, implement preventive measures, and lead root cause analysis
• Monitor programme KPIs, quality metrics (e.g., PPM, RPN, RFT, defect trends), and escalate issues
• Ensure quality readiness at key programme milestones (e.g., Gate Reviews, DV/PV build, SOP).

Qualifications / Skills needed

• Bachelor's Degree, in Engineering, Quality or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience, in a quality engineering or programme quality role
• Proven experience with ISO 9001IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plan methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills using tools such as 8D, DMAIC, and SPC.
• Proficient in quality systems, data analysis, and MS Office and CAD/PLM
