Our Client has a requirement for a Programme Planner, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Heathrow.
Role Purpose:
- Prepare project control plans and detailed staffing utilisation plans for project activities.
- Develop, maintain, monitor, and analyse project schedules and performance data.
- Support project controls, planning, scheduling, cost engineering, and reporting activities.
- Ensure project scope, execution plans, milestones, and schedules are accurately reflected and aligned.
- Provide schedule, resource, manpower, cost, and performance analysis to support project delivery.
- Identify schedule risks, critical path activities, trends, and mitigation opportunities.
- Support the implementation of project controls tools, standards, procedures, and reporting systems.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and staffing utilisation plans.
- Assist in producing schedule data for proposals and contract negotiations.
- Integrate interdisciplinary schedule requirements and establish logical work sequences.
- Develop activity durations, quantity release curves, installation curves, and labour expenditure forecasts.
- Perform quantity, manpower, cost resource loading, and schedule performance monitoring.
- Support cost trend analysis, forecasting, reporting, and change management activities.
- Analyse schedule and project controls data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Determine critical path activities and monitor schedule performance against project milestones.
- Develop and monitor short-term engineering and construction schedules.
- Review schedule deviations and recommend corrective actions and recovery plans.
- Prepare schedule commentary and progress reporting documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and operational direction to assigned personnel.
- Maintain effective working relationships with project managers, discipline leads, and project stakeholders.
- Review project controls information and reports for technical accuracy prior to issue.
- Support the selection and implementation of project controls systems and tools.
- Prepare and present planning, scheduling, cost engineering, and estimating information to management and clients.
- Develop performance measurement systems and analyse project metrics using statistical methods.
- Support the development of project controls standards, procedures, and historical data records.
- Supervise cost estimating, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, and cost analysis activities.
- Monitor overall project schedule performance and recommend improvements where required.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
- Experience performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis in both office and site environments.
- Strong knowledge of project controls, planning, scheduling, and cost engineering principles.
- Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
- Proficient in PC operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using planning and scheduling software such as Primavera and Microsoft Project.
- Ability to analyse schedule, cost, resource, and performance data to support project delivery.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction management practices gained through practical experience or specialised training (desirable).
- Understanding of current industry standards, techniques, and developments (desirable).
