Join the Close Brothers Finance Team where you will forecast, track and assist operational teams to deliver programmes and projects to deliver new ways of working, efficiencies and processes to assist the Bank’s success. Working as part of the Finance team our ideal team member will have previous experience in working with stakeholders to translate finances into language and presentations everyone can understand with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Provide financial leadership, work with the operational teams to identify cost savings opportunities and obtain commitment from all stakeholders to deliver performance-improving initiatives.
  • Provide oversight and challenge of operational initiatives with a key focus on delivery and business efficiency.
  • Model various scenarios to ensure the financial impact of different choices is understood to help improve the efficiency of decision making.
  • Support the programme stakeholders by ensuring that information is accurately reflected and providing insight into future initiatives and strategic direction.
  • Monitor the financial targets and performance based on Bank Strategy. Agree remedial action with stakeholders where necessary and support the delivery of cost-saving initiatives.
  • Deliver insightful business information to Head of Finance and Head of Programmes, supporting Bank Executive Committee to make informed decisions.
  • Support the sign-off of new roles and costs, working on business cases with budget holders to ensure the Bank gets value from its investment spend.
We would love to hear from you if you have/are
  • Evidence of taking ownership and ability to prioritise and manage a wide range of BAU activities at the same time to meet tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrable interpersonal skills to create, maintain and build relationships between finance and operating teams with the ability to influence others to create ownership for deliverables.
  • Experience of interpreting service objectives and actions into financial impacts.
  • Experience of rolling out process improvements to improve efficiency of organisations.
  • An ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable items.
It is not essential but it would be great if you have
  • Programme finance experience
  • An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
