Job summary

The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) Training is seeking a Programme Operations Coordinator to oversee the operational coordination of all training programmes, manage a caseload of learners, and support the wider team with learner progress and wellbeing.

The role entails safeguarding, pastoral care, onboarding with external partners, and ensuring quality through monitoring and audits, including Ofsted readiness. A strong safeguarding culture is essential.

Qualifications

  • Functional Skills Level 2 or GCSE Maths and English (C or above).
  • Desirable: experience of working with learners.
  • Desirable: understanding of Learner Management Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of learners including safeguarding and pastoral care.
  • Coordinate all on-programme learners: reviews, regular communication, and issue handling.
  • Engage with external companies on onboarding.
  • Support actions to achieve a minimum 'good' Ofsted rating.
  • Communicate with stakeholders on programme updates and issues.
  • Support health and safety of learners and the centre.
  • Update training centre posters and information to a high standard.
  • Organise induction and review delivery, data, and records.

Job description

The Vacancy

MTC Training is a multi-award-winning Independent Training Provider delivering high quality engineering apprenticeships and upskilling training courses.

The Programme Operations Coordinator is required to deliver the operational coordination of all training programmes, managing a personal caseload of learners and supporting the wider team with all learners.

To support an outstanding enrichment programme, and the well-being of all learners and monitoring the completion of progress reviews and regular communication with employers.

The role will require you to ensure that a consistent high quality training provision is maintained, that meets and exceeds all internal and external monitoring (ESFA, Ofsted, Matrix, Internal and external quality processes and audits).

Activities will include:

  • Day-to-day management of learners including behavioural management, safeguarding, pastoral care and mentoring / coaching of all learners.
  • Coordination of all internal and external on programme learners, including course reviews, regular communication, dealing with any issues learners may have.
  • Engaging with external companies with onboarding.
  • Ensuring all activity and decisions taken support a drive to achieve a minimal 'good' rating from any Ofsted inspection.
  • Regularly communicating with internal and external stakeholders on operational aspects of the programmes, including but not limited to programme updates, raising any issues with behaviour or performance etc.
  • Supporting the health and safety of learners and facility through proactive leadership.
  • Updating of training centre posters and key information, ensuring all areas are kept to a high standard.
  • Where required and trained, undertake and support colleagues by completing the role of Fire Warden, First Aider, Mental Health First Aider, and Safeguarding to support the centre.
  • Operational coordination and delivery of all programmes, including preparation of induction and review completion.
  • Maintaining and updating relevant communications tools, briefings and support material (including handbooks).
  • Managing the learner administration and data, including but not limited to - creation of new learner data and electronic records, input of learner review data and assessments, certificates, updating learner systems in line with ESFA and MTC processes.
  • Supporting all logistics associated with the learner inductions, including sourcing rooms, agenda's and organisation of activities, seeking stakeholder involvement and all communication with new employees and stakeholders.
  • Collating and delivering monthly employer information on the progress of learners as required.
  • Actively promoting the importance of adhering to key policies (equality and diversity, safeguarding, bullying and harassment and discrimination) among the learner community.
  • Any other reasonable duties as required by management.
Qualification
Essential
  • Functional Skills Level 2 / GCSE's in Maths and English grade C or above.
Desirable
  • Experience of working with learners
  • Understanding of Learner Management Systems
