Job summary

Youth Sport Trust seeks a Programme Officer to lead the Enrichment Expansion Programme. The role is full-time, home-based with 1–2 days per week in Loughborough, and is a fixed-term contract through March 2029.

You will help develop resources, learning and support for schools and partners to expand enrichment opportunities across the country. The post involves coordinating webinars, briefings and events, with a focus on improving outcomes for young people.

Programme Officer - Enrichment

£33,500 per annum

Full time | Home based with 1 - 2 days per week in Loughborough

Fixed term to March 2029

We are looking for a creative and proactive Programme Officer to join the Youth Sport Trust and play a key role in the development and delivery of the Enrichment Expansion Programme (EEP).

As part of the Government's National Youth Strategy, 400 schools across England have been selected to take part in this three-year programme, which aims to increase access to high-quality enrichment opportunities for young people, particularly those facing disadvantage or barriers to participation.

Working as part of the Enrichment Expansion team, you will take responsibility for agreed areas of programme activity, working closely with schools, Enrichment Coordinators, partners and colleagues to develop resources, learning and support that help schools strengthen their enrichment offer.

You will bring curiosity and creativity to the role, testing and developing new approaches and using insight, feedback and learning from schools and young people to identify what works and inform continuous improvement. You will also help coordinate learning opportunities including webinars, briefings, communities of practice and events, and capture and share effective practice from across the programme.

We are looking for someone with experience of developing and delivering projects, programmes or significant areas of work, ideally within schools, education, youth development, enrichment or a related environment. You will have experience of working with partners and stakeholders and of developing resources, guidance or learning opportunities that support effective practice.

You will be a strong communicator and relationship builder, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. You will be proactive, collaborative and comfortable taking responsibility for your own areas of work, with the creativity to turn learning and ideas into practical solutions.

Most importantly, you will be passionate about improving opportunities and outcomes for young people and committed to ensuring their needs and experiences help shape the programme.
