The postholder will prepare proposals and reports for Trustees, work with Global Partnerships and Programme Management & Funding, and ensure funds are directed to approved projects with tight deadlines.
To coordinate the project management of the income from three of Amnesty International's charitable trusts (Amnesty UK, Amnesty Canada, and Amnesty International Secretariat). This is a complex role gathering project information, tracking progress and spend of approximately £14m per year across a large number of International Secretariat projects. The postholder will coordinate the narrative and financial funding requests and reporting across multiple teams. The role will need to keep AIUK, AI Canada, AI International Secretariat Trustees and senior leadership informed of project progress. Key to the role will be working with programme teams to ensure allocated funds are spent on selected projects, and to track and report on any projects that for any reason deviate from their original purpose. The role will often be working to tight deadlines particularly at reporting and proposal times of year.
The role sits within the Programme Funding & Partnerships Team which has three separate functions that the postholder will work closely with: i) Global Partnerships - supports a selection of priority sections in developing and enhancing their High Value fundraising programmes and focuses on securing income from selected Global Trust and Foundations directly for the International Secretariat. ii) Programme Management & Funding (the team this role sits within) - fundraises for and manages large programmes of work funded through restricted income; iii) Major Gifts - secures income from and works with sections' Major Donor programmes. The role will also work closely with International Finance and Global Strategy & Governance.
