Job description

The Department of Engineering Science and the Oxford Martin School are seeking to appoint a highly organised and proactive Programme Manager to support the successful delivery of the Technical AI Governance Programme - a cross-departmental initiative focused on high-impact research at the interface of artificial intelligence and public policy. This post is fixed term for four years and will be based in Central Oxford.

The postholder will coordinate the matching of DPhil students with supervisors, oversee the monitoring and administration of research projects, facilitate collaboration between academic units, and act as the primary administrative and operational lead for the programme.

The Programme Manager will work closely with academic staff, students, administrative colleagues, and external stakeholders to ensure the programme's academic and strategic objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner.

You should be educated to degree level or equivalent. You must have experience of administration or project management in a complex organisation. Proven financial aptitude with the ability to produce financial reports is essential, as are strong communication and relationship building skills.

Hybrid working is available for this position.
