Job summary

Cameo Consultancy (Recruitment) Limited based in Banbury is recruiting for a Programme Manager to join an established technology business on a full-time, permanent basis. You will plan, coordinate and deliver software development, configuration and implementation projects, keeping delivery on time and within budget.

You’ll work with Product, Engineering and Professional Services teams, support Agile practices, manage risks and stakeholders, and produce progress reports.

Qualifications

• Recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM or Agile/Scrum.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle.
• Experience with Agile delivery methods such as Scrum.
• Strong organisational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to identify risks and issues early and turn them into practical actions.
• Confidence working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Experience using project management and Microsoft Office tools.
• A good understanding of budgets, resources, timescales and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate projects from initiation through to delivery and customer sign-off.
• Create and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinating software development, configuration and implementation activity.
• Working closely with Product, Engineering, Business Analysis and Professional Services teams.
• Supporting Agile ways of working, including sprint planning, stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Monitoring project progress, identifying blockers and keeping delivery on track.
• Managing scope, change requests, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Coordinating customer deployment activity, including testing, data migration and go-live.
• Acting as a key day‑to‑day contact for customers and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Running project meetings and providing clear updates on progress, risks and next steps.
• Supporting budget, resource and forecast tracking.
• Producing accurate project reports and maintaining project documentation.
• Supporting project handover, customer sign‑off and lessons learned.
• Contributing ideas to improve project processes, tools and ways of working.
