Job Description

Job Title: Programme Manager HE Children's Education and Health

Salary: Starting at £38,651 with progression to £42,223 per annum.

Closing Date: 2025-05-15

About the Role
  1. Manage strategies to ensure high retention, achievement, success, and attendance rates.
  2. Plan, prepare, and develop schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching and learning resources, and assessment plans.
  3. Lead the development and implementation of effective teaching and assessment methods.
  4. Monitor student progress and implement interventions as needed.
  5. Provide support and guidance for course leaders, senior lecturers, HE lecturers, and assessors.
  6. Collaborate with the Luminate Apprenticeship and Quality teams to develop current provision and new apprenticeships within the curriculum.
  7. Work with relevant employers to develop apprenticeships and manage placement requirements.
  8. Coordinate with the Head of Department / Deputy Head of Department and external stakeholders to promote our HE offerings.
About You
  1. Hold a Level 5 Teaching Qualification or equivalent.
  2. Possess a degree in a relevant teaching subject.
  3. Hold or be willing to work towards Assessor and IQA qualifications.
  4. Have extensive experience in managing delivery within the Children’s Education and Health department.
  5. Demonstrate active learning and differentiated teaching styles in curriculum delivery.
  6. Experience in workplace assessment of students and moderation activities.
  7. Proven ability to manage student cohorts positively.
  8. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  9. Commitment to continuous professional development.
  10. Experience in staff management and stakeholder engagement.
