Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Programme Manager for Defence & Aerospace based in Coatbridge, Scotland. The role focuses on planning, delivering and governing complex programmes within a product design and manufacturing environment.

You will coordinate engineering, operations and other teams, maintain strong customer relationships and contribute to annual order intake and sales objectives, while leading a capable delivery team.

• Degree in a technical discipline.

About the Company

Our client is a specialist manufacturer of thermal battery technology, supplying power solutions to the defence and aerospace sectors. They are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead complex programmes, manage customer relationships, and support the business's commercial development.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Site Director, you will plan, execute, and deliver programmes within a product design and manufacturing environment. You will coordinate engineering, operations and other teams to deliver against agreed customer requirements, budgets and timescales. As a key customer contact, you will maintain clear communication, manage risks and resolve issues throughout the program lifecycle. Alongside program delivery, you will support business development through existing and prospective customer relationships, identifying opportunities and contributing to annual order intake and sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You will be an experienced Programme or Project Manager who understands the practical demands of delivering technical products within a design and manufacturing business. You will combine strong planning and leadership skills with commercial awareness, building productive customer relationships while keeping programmes on track.

Essential Requirements

• Degree in a technical discipline.
• At least five years’ relevant experience in programme, project or business management, including successful delivery of complex programmes.
• Experience working within a product design and manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and engage with senior stakeholders.
• Strong programme planning, budgeting, resource management and risk management skills.
• Understanding of financial performance, commercial commitments and contract law.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, solve problems and make informed decisions.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing others.

• A formal business qualification.
• Experience within defence, aerospace or a related technical manufacturing sector.
